The tracks on “Black Lake Blues” were recorded over the course of a week in late August 2019, when Sergio and I were giving workshops and performances at the XXXVI International Guitar Festival in the stunningly beautiful town of Lagonegro, in southern Italy. These are tunes of exploration, creativity, spontaneity and friendship, our first-ever collaboration, though deep in the recording process, it always felt like we had played together forever. Some of this was written beforehand, some was loosely charted out over expressos and/or wine, some came together after brief conversations immediately before hitting “record”….and we just went with it. And now we’re sending it out into the world, so you can get with it too.
